West Ouachita Chiefs (West Monroe, LA) fans left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad nip the host Sterlington Panthers (Sterlington, LA), 3-2 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, West Ouachita advances its record to 14-8 on the season. The Chiefs travel to Ouachita Christian (Monroe, LA) to battle the Eagles in a non-league match on Thursday, March 27. The Eagles come into the match with a record of 11-11.

The Panthers now have a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Webster for a 3A District 1 match on Monday, March 24. Sterlington will battle a Knights squad coming off a 22-0 league win over Richwood (Monroe, LA). The Knights record now stands at 7-5.
