In Saturday's non-league match, the host Cleveland Central Wolves softball team scored a tight 7-2 victory over the Strayhorn Mustangs.
The Wolves (10-3) will now prepare for their match against Grenada (Grenada, MS). The Chargers go into the non-league match with a 8-6 record. In their last match, Grenada tipped Southaven (Southaven, MS), 2-1, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Potts Camp Cardinals (Potts Camp, MS) in a 1A Region 3 match, on Tuesday, March 25. Strayhorn will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The Cardinals go into the match with a 6-1 record after their 11-3 non-league win over Olive Branch (Olive Branch, MS).
