In Saturday's non-league test, the Jenkins Cavaliers (Jenkins, KY) softball squad overwhelmed the host Owsley County Owls / Lady Owls (Booneville, KY), by a tally of 16-0.
Next, the Cavaliers clash with the Leslie County Eagles (Hyden, KY) in a non-league test, on Monday, March 24. Jenkins will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Eagles go into the test with a 0-3 record after their 11-0 non-league loss to Jackson County (McKee, KY).
The Owls / Lady Owls (0-3) will now prepare for their test against Estill County (Irvine, KY). The Engineers go into the District 56 test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Estill County prevailed over West Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY), 7-6, in a non-league test.
