In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting John Battle Trojans softball team scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Tennessee Vikings.
The Trojans (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Honaker (Honaker, VA). The Tigers go into the non-league match with a 1-0 record.
In their next game, the Vikings battle the Unicoi County Blue Devils (Erwin, TN) in a 3A District 1 match, on Tuesday, March 25. Tennessee will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Blue Devils go into the match with a 6-2 record after their 11-0 non-league win over North Greene (Greeneville, TN).
