Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Emery Spartans (Castle Dale, UT) and the visiting Grand County Red Devils (Moab, UT), witnessed Emery's softball squad prevail over Grand County by a count of 16-1.

The Spartans now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Canyon View for a match on Friday, March 25. Emery will face a Falcons squad coming off a 13-5 non-league loss to Grantsville (Grantsville, UT). The Falcons record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Grand County moves to 0-1 on the season. The Red devils host Richfield (Richfield, UT) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Tuesday, April 5. The Wildcats go into the match with a record of 0-0.
