Ramona Bulldogs (Ramona, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 6-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Point Loma for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 24. Ramona will battle a Pointers squad coming off a 11-4 non-league win over San Diego (San Diego, CA). The Pointers record now stands at 3-12.

With the loss, Steele Canyon falls to 11-5 on the campaign. The Cougars host Granite Hills (El Cajon, CA) to battle the Eagles in a Grossmont Hills challenge on Thursday, March 31. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 8-5.
