Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) and the visiting Trinity Bulldogs (Trinity, NC), saw Asheboro's baseball squad knock off Trinity by a count of 16-6.

Coming up next, the Blue Comets play the Oak Grove Grizzlies (Winston-Salem, NC) in a Mid-Piedmont 3A battle, on Friday, March 24. Asheboro will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Grizzlies enter the battle with a 4-6 record after their 13-5 league win over Asheboro (Asheboro, NC).

The Bulldogs now possess a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Uwharrie Charter for a Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A battle on Friday, March 24. Trinity will play a Eagles squad coming off a 17-5 non-league win over Caldwell Academy (Greensboro, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 3-5.
