The Polk County Wolverines baseball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Landrum Cardinals to 1 in the Wolverines non-league victory on Thursday.
The Wolverines (4-6) will now prepare for their match against Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC). The Bearcats go into the Mountain Foothills Seven 2A match with a 5-2 record. In their last match, Hendersonville tipped Polk County (Columbus, NC), 12-9, in a league match.
