The Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA) baseball trounced the host Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA), 13-1 in Thursday's league contest.
Coming up next, the Warriors play the Stephens County Indians (Toccoa, GA) in a 3A Area 8 contest, on Tuesday, March 28. Oconee County will attempt to better on its 9-8 season record. The Indians enter the contest with a 11-6 record after their 8-7 league loss to Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA).
The Purple Hurricanes now sport a 6-11 record. They take the field next when they host Franklin County for a 3A Area 8 contest on Tuesday, March 28. Monroe Area will play a Lions squad coming off a 13-10 league win over Hart County (Hartwell, GA). The Lions record now stands at 12-5.
