In Thursday's league battle, the host San Gabriel Matadors volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Bell Gardens Lancers.

The Matadors (12-2) will now prepare for their battle against Schurr (Montebello, CA). The Spartans come into the Almont battle with a 3-7 record. In their last battle, Schurr defeated Montebello (Montebello, CA), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Lancers encounter the Golden Valley Grizzlies (Santa Clarita, CA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, March 24. Bell Gardens will attempt to move on its 9-10 season record. The Grizzlies come into the battle with a 8-1 record after their 3-0 league win over Castaic (Castaic, CA).
