The crowd at Thursday's non-league test between the Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC) and the visiting Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC), saw Union Academy's soccer squad triumph over Monroe by a margin of 11-2.
The Cardinals now sport a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Albemarle for a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A test on Monday, March 27. Union Academy will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 6-0 league loss to North Stanly (New London, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-5.
With the loss, Monroe drops to 1-3 on the season. The Redhawks host Forest Hills (Marshville, NC) to meet the Yellow Jackets in a Rocky River 2A/3A test on Thursday, March 30. The Yellow Jackets come into the test with a record of 5-2.
