In Thursday's non-league battle, the visiting Benjamin Russell Wildcats soccer squad scored a close 5-1 triumph over the Beauregard Hornets.
The Wildcats (8-1) will now prepare for their battle against Calera (Calera, AL). The Eagles come into the 6A Area 6 battle with a 7-2 record.
The Hornets (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against Brewbaker Tech (Montgomery, AL). The Rams come into the 5A Area 3 battle with a 9-3 record.
