Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC), 16-0 in a league challenge.

The Bearcats now own a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they host Chesterfield for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 27. Anson will battle a Golden Rams squad coming off a 5-1 league win over North Central (Kershaw, SC). The Golden Rams record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Monroe falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Redhawks travel to Lee Park Prep (Monroe, NC) to battle the Knights in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 27. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. Lee Park Prep won 22-9 in their recent non-league challenge against Greater Vision Academy (Gibsonville, NC)
