In Thursday's league contest, the Apex Cougars (Apex, NC) softball team the host Apex Friendship Patriots (Apex, NC), by a margin of 7-4.

With the triumph, Apex moves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Cougars host Middle Creek (Apex, NC) to play the Mustangs in a Southwest Wake 4A contest on Tuesday, March 28. The Mustangs come into the contest with a record of 2-4. Middle Creek lost 8-7 in their recent league contest against Panther Creek (Cary, NC)
