Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Ray Bearcats (Kearny, AZ) and the host Fort Thomas Apaches (Fort Thomas, AZ), witnessed Ray's softball squad tip Fort Thomas by a count of 6-5.

The Bearcats now sport a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Duncan for a 1A South match on Monday, March 27. Ray will face a Wildkats squad coming off a 14-0 non-league loss to Pima (Pima, AZ). The Wildkats record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, Fort Thomas moves to 4-6 on the season. The Apaches travel to Sequoia Charter (Mesa, AZ) to face the Stallions in a 1A East match on Tuesday, March 28. The Stallions go into the match with a record of 2-3. Sequoia Charter lost 11-1 in their recent non-league match against Arizona Lutheran Academy (Phoenix, AZ)
