The Irmo Yellowjackets softball team scored 19 runs and limited the visiting Richland Northeast Cavaliers to 0 in the Yellowjackets league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Irmo moves its record to 3-6 on the year. The Yellowjackets host Ridge View (Columbia, SC) to clash with the Blazers in a AAAA Region 5 game on Tuesday, March 28. The Blazers come into the game with a record of 5-3.

In their next game, the Cavaliers clash with the Crestwood Knights (Sumter, SC) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 27. Richland Northeast will attempt to move on its 0-7 season record. The Knights come into the game with a 7-2 record after their 17-15 league win over Lake City (Lake City, SC).
