Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting West Mecklenburg Hawks (Charlotte, NC), 21-2 in a league challenge.

The Mavericks now sport a 7-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hough for a Queen City 3A/4A challenge on Friday, March 24. Mallard Creek will face a Huskies squad coming off a 8-7 non-league loss to Independence (Charlotte, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, West Mecklenburg falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Garinger (Charlotte, NC) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 29. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 1-5.
