With the triumph, Northeast Jones improves its record to 3-6 on the year. The Tigers travel to South Jones (Ellisville, MS) to clash with the Braves in a non-league game on Friday, March 24. The Braves come into the game with a record of 7-6.

In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS) in a 4A Region 5 game, on Tuesday, March 28. Mendenhall will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Cougars come into the game with a 3-0 record after their 5-2 non-league win over Pearl River Central (Carriere, MS).
