Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the West Stokes Wildcats (King, NC) and the visiting North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC), witnessed West Stokes's softball squad tip North Surry by a count of 10-5.

The Wildcats now sport a 4-4 record. They play next when they host T.W. Andrews for a Mid-State 2A match on Friday, March 24. West Stokes will face a Red Raiders squad coming off a 16-0 league loss to McMichael (Mayodan, NC). The Red Raiders record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, North Surry moves to 1-5 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC) to face the Blackhawks in a Foothills 2A match on Friday, March 24. The Blackhawks go into the match with a record of 7-0. West Wilkes won 13-1 in their recent league match against North Wilkes (Hays, NC)
