With the win, Axtell upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Longhorns travel to Hubbard (Hubbard, TX) to battle the Jaguars in a 2A Region II District 16 test on Tuesday, April 9. The Jaguars go into the match with a record of 6-6.

The Eagles (8-6) will now prepare for their match against Itasca (Itasca, TX). The Wampus Cats go into the 2A Region II District 15 match with a 3-7 record. In their last match, Itasca tipped Bruceville-Eddy (Eddy, TX), 17-1, in a non-league match.
