In Saturday's non-league game, the host Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets baseball team scored a tight 10-6 victory over the Thatcher Eagles.
The Yellow Jackets (7-5) will now prepare for their game against Payson (Payson, AZ). The Longhorns go into the 3A East game with a 2-8 record. In their last game, Payson was overwhelmed by Show Low (Show Low, AZ), 15-0, in a league game.
The Eagles (6-7) will now prepare for their game against Sabino (Tucson, AZ). The Sabercats go into the 3A South game with a 1-10 record. In their last game, Sabino was overwhelmed by Yuma Catholic (Yuma, AZ), 9-4, in a non-league game.
