The Kaplan Pirates baseball team scored 5 runs and limited the host St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays to 2 in the Pirates non-league victory on Saturday.
The Pirates (7-11) will now prepare for their match against St. Martinville (St. Martinville, LA). The Tigers go into the 3A District 5 match with a 4-7 record.
The Fighting Blue Jays (13-6) will now prepare for their match against Comeaux (Lafayette, LA). The Spartans go into the non-league match with a 0-16 record. In their last match, Comeaux by Barbe (Lake Charles, LA), 26-0, in a league outing.
