Douglas Bulldogs (Douglas, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Tombstone Yellow Jackets (Tombstone, AZ), 7-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they host Walden Grove for a 4A Gila challenge on Monday, March 25. Douglas will face a Red Wolves squad coming off a 11-1 league win over Rio Rico (Rio Rico, AZ). The Red Wolves record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, Tombstone falls to 8-6 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets travel to Valley Union (Elfrida, AZ) to face the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 25. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 4-8. Valley Union won 8-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Nogales (Nogales, AZ)
