Illinois High School Softball - Hutsonville/Palestine can't get by North Central

In Saturday's non-league contest, the North Central Thunderbirds (Farmersburg, IN) softball team held off the host Hutsonville/Palestine Tigers (Palestine, IL), by a margin of 8-7.

With the triumph, North Central moves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Thunderbirds host Greencastle (Greencastle, IN) to play the Tiger Cubs in a non-league contest on Tuesday, April 2. The Tiger Cubs come into the contest with a record of 0-0.

In their next game, the Tigers play the Newton Eagles (Newton, IL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, March 26. Hutsonville/Palestine will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 6-1 record after their 15-0 non-league win over Oblong (Oblong, IL).
