Spectators at Saturday's league match between the Lexington Eagles (Lexington, TX) and the host Rockdale Tigers (Rockdale, TX), witnessed Lexington's softball squad prevail over Rockdale by a count of 16-2.

The Eagles now sport a 16-5 record. They play next when they travel to Troy for a 3A Region III District 19 match on Tuesday, March 26. Lexington will face a Trojans squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Little River Academy (Little River Academy, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 15-6.

With the loss, Rockdale moves to 3-8 on the season. The Tigers travel to Lorena (Lorena, TX) to face the Leopards in a 3A Region III District 19 match on Tuesday, April 2. The Leopards go into the match with a record of 13-13.
