The Gatewood Gators baseball team scored 18 runs and limited the host Augusta Prep Day Cavaliers to 6 in the Gators league victory on Thursday.
The Gators (6-4) will now prepare for their match against Thomas Jefferson Academy (Louisville, GA). The Jaguars go into the GISA AA Region 4 match with a 5-1 record. In their last match, Thomas Jefferson Academy gained a win over John Hancock Academy (Sparta, GA), 11-0, in a league match.
The Cavaliers (3-5) will now prepare for their match against Monsignor Donovan Catholic (Athens, GA). The go into the GISA AA Region 4 match with a 0-5 record. In their last match, Monsignor Donovan Catholic was overwhelmed by Edmund Burke Academy (Waynesboro, GA), 13-2, in a league match.
