In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Auburn Eagles soccer squad scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs.
The Eagles (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against George Wythe (Wytheville, VA). The Maroons come into the Mountain Empire battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, George Wythe nudged Giles (Pearisburg, VA), 4-2, in a league battle.
The Mustangs (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Giles (Pearisburg, VA). The Spartans come into the non-league battle with a 0-2 record.
