South Carolina High School Soccer - St. James nudges Sumter

St. James Sharks (Murrells Inlet, SC) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Sumter Fighting Gamecocks (Sumter, SC), 3-2 in a league challenge.
Next, the Sharks confront the Socastee Braves (Myrtle Beach, SC) in a AAAAA Region 6 challenge, on Tuesday, April 5. St. James will attempt to better on its 6-1 season record.
The Fighting Gamecocks now have a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Conway for a AAAAA Region 6 challenge on Friday, April 1. Sumter will confront a Tigers team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Carolina Forest (Myrtle Beach, SC). The Tigers record now stands at 2-5.
