Animo Leadership Aztec Eagles (Inglewood, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Environmental Charter White Tigers (Lawndale, CA), 16-12 in a league challenge.

The Aztec Eagles now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sun Valley Magnet for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 29. Animo Leadership will battle a Pioneers squad coming off a 30-14 non-league loss to Sherman Oaks CES (Reseda, CA). The Pioneers record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Environmental Charter falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The White tigers host Compton Early College (Compton, CA) to battle the Rising Phoenix in a Mulholland challenge on Thursday, March 31. The Rising Phoenix enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Compton Early College lost 22-0 in their recent league challenge against Wiseburn- Da Vinci (El Segundo, CA)
