Taylorsville Tartars (Taylorsville, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bay Springs Bulldogs (Bay Springs, MS), 19-12 in a league challenge.

The Tartars now own a 10-2 record. They take the field next when they host Enterprise for a 2A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, March 29. Taylorsville will battle a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 14-4 non-league win over Bogue Chitto (Bogue Chitto, MS). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 5-6.

With the loss, Bay Springs falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Stringer (Stringer, MS) to battle the Red Devils in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 26. The Red Devils enter the challenge with a record of 12-4. Stringer won 17-3 in their recent league challenge against Mize (Mize, MS)
