Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC), 20-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Blue Devils now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host R-S Central for a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A challenge on Friday, March 25. Brevard will battle a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 7-0 league win over Brevard (Brevard, NC). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Cherokee falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Braves host Andrews (Andrews, NC) to battle the Wildcats in a Smoky Mountain 1A challenge on Friday, March 25. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Andrews lost 14-2 in their recent league challenge against Cherokee (Cherokee, NC)
