Calera Eagles (Calera, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Montevallo Bulldogs (Montevallo, AL), 10-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they host Helena for a 6A Area 6 challenge on Tuesday, April 5. Calera will battle a Huskies squad coming off a 10-1 league win over Pelham (Pelham, AL). The Huskies record now stands at 18-3.

With the loss, Montevallo falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Isabella (Maplesville, AL) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 5. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 2-7.
