In Thursday's non-league contest, the Hoover Cardinals (San Diego, CA) softball team overwhelmed the host Castle Park Trojans (Chula Vista, CA), by a margin of 21-9.
With the triumph, Hoover moves its record to 4-6 on the year. The Cardinals host El Cajon Valley (El Cajon, CA) to play the Braves in a non-league contest on Monday, April 4. The Braves come into the contest with a record of 0-7.
In their next game, the Trojans play the Calipatria Hornets (Calipatria, CA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, March 29. Castle Park will attempt to move on its 1-10 season record. The Hornets come into the contest with a 6-2 record after their 5-1 non-league loss to Mar Vista (Imperial Beach, CA).
