Concord Minutemen (Concord, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Northgate Broncos (Walnut Creek, CA), 9-2 in a league challenge.

The Minutemen now own a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Benicia for a Diablo - Foothill challenge on Tuesday, March 29. Concord will face a Panthers squad coming off a 6-3 league win over Clayton Valley Charter (Concord, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Northgate falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Broncos travel to College Park (Pleasant Hill, CA) to face the Falcons in a Diablo - Foothill challenge on Tuesday, March 29. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 6-2. College Park won 7-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Liberty (Brentwood, CA)
