With the triumph, Covington moves its record to 3-2 on the year. The Lions host Hammond (Hammond, LA) to clash with the Tornadoes in a 5A District 6 game on Tuesday, March 29. The Tornadoes come into the game with a record of 2-9.

In their next game, the Demons clash with the St. Scholastica Doves (Covington, LA) in a 4A District 8 game, on Tuesday, March 29. Franklinton will attempt to move on its 2-9 season record. The Doves come into the game with a 1-5 record after their 7-6 league loss to Pearl River (Pearl River, LA).
