Harrison Central Red Rebels (Gulfport, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hancock Hawks (Kiln, MS), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Red Rebels now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host West Harrison for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 26. Harrison Central will face a Hurricanes squad coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to Petal (Petal, MS). The Hurricanes record now stands at 5-12.

With the loss, Hancock falls to 11-5 on the campaign. The Hawks host St. Patrick (Biloxi, MS) to face the Fighting Irish in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 28. The Fighting Irish enter the challenge with a record of 1-7. St. Patrick won 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Our Lady Academy (Bay St. Louis, MS)
