North Carolina High School Softball - North Duplin bounces Lakewood

The North Duplin Rebels routed the host Lakewood Leopards softball squad by a final score of 18-7 in Thursday's league battle.

The Rebels (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Union (Rose Hill, NC). The Spartans go into the Carolina 1A battle with a 3-4 record. In their last battle, Union was routed by Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC), 2-1, in a league battle.

The Leopards now possess a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to James Kenan for a non-league battle on Friday, March 25. Lakewood will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 9-3 league loss to East Duplin (Beulaville, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 6-2.
