The crowd at Thursday's league match between the Rosewood Eagles (Goldsboro, NC) and the visiting Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC), saw Rosewood's softball squad nip Union by a count of 2-1.

The Eagles now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host North Duplin for a Carolina 1A match on Wednesday, March 30.

With the loss, Union falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Spartans host North Duplin (Calypso, NC) to face the Rebels in a Carolina 1A match on Monday, March 28. The Rebels enter the match with a record of 3-3. North Duplin won 18-7 in their recent league match against Lakewood (Roseboro, NC)
