In Friday's league game, the host Chapin Huskies baseball team scored a tight 12-7 victory over the Andress Eagles.
The Huskies (3-17) will now prepare for their game against Jefferson (El Paso, TX). The Silver Foxes go into the 5A Region I District 1 game with a 7-5 record. In their last game, Jefferson was overwhelmed by Burges (El Paso, TX), 18-1, in a league game.
The Eagles (4-8) will now prepare for their game against El Paso (El Paso, TX). The Tigers go into the 5A Region I District 1 game with a 15-4 record. In their last game, El Paso tipped Canutillo (Canutillo, TX), 8-7, in a league game.
