Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Bessemer City Yellow Jackets (Bessemer City, NC), 20-2 in a league test.

With the win, Burns upgrades its record to 10-1 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Cherryville (Cherryville, NC) to battle the Ironmen in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A test on Tuesday, March 28. The Ironmen come into the test with a record of 8-2. Cherryville won 13-1 in their recent league test against Thomas Jefferson (Mooresboro, NC)

With the defeat, Bessemer City falls to 2-9 on the season. The Yellow jackets travel to Pinnacle Classical Academy (Shelby, NC) to battle the Eagles in a non-league test on Monday, March 27. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 1-3. Pinnacle Classical Academy lost 14-4 in their recent non-league test against Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC)
