North Carolina High School Baseball - Clayton nudged by Cleveland

The Clayton Comets baseball team (Clayton, NC), was tipped 8-7 in Friday's league outing with the visiting Cleveland Rams (Clayton, NC)

The Rams now hold a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Smithfield-Selma for a non-league outing on Saturday, March 25. Cleveland will confront a Spartans team coming off a 13-0 league loss to Southern Wayne (Dudley, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 2-4.

Next, the Comets confront the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs (Raleigh, NC) in a Greater Neuse River 4A outing, on Monday, March 27. Clayton will attempt to advance on its 5-4 season record. The Bulldogs go into the outing with a 0-8 record after their 10-0 league loss to Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC).
