Spectators at Friday's league battle between the Pickens Dragons (Jasper, GA) and the visiting West Hall Spartans (Oakwood, GA), saw Pickens's baseball squad knock off West Hall by a count of 10-0.

Coming up next, the Dragons play the Gilmer Bobcats (Ellijay, GA) in a 3A Area 7 battle, on Tuesday, March 28. Pickens will attempt to move on its 16-3 season record. The Bobcats enter the battle with a 6-10 record after their 7-3 league loss to Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA).

The Spartans now possess a 3-13 record. They take the field next when they host Banks County for a non-league battle on Monday, March 27. West Hall will play a Leopards squad coming off a 6-2 league win over Athens Academy (Athens, GA). The Leopards record now stands at 8-8.
