The Vela Sabercats got by the visiting Valley View Tigers baseball team by a count of 4-3 in Friday's league bout.

The Sabercats now possess a 12-7 record. They take the field next when they host Rowe for a 5A Region IV District 31 bout on Tuesday, March 28. Vela will face a Warriors team coming off a 17-3 league win over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 11-8.

Next, the Tigers face the Sharyland Rattlers (Mission, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 31 bout, on Tuesday, March 28. Valley View will attempt to move on its 9-8 season record. The Rattlers enter the bout with a 16-2 record after their 12-2 league win over McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX).
