In Friday's league battle, the host Southwest Onslow Stallions soccer squad scored a close 5-0 win over the South Lenoir Blue Devils.
The Stallions (7-2) will now prepare for their battle against East Duplin (Beulaville, NC). The Panthers go into the East Central 2A battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, East Duplin nipped North Lenoir (LaGrange, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.
The Blue Devils (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against West Craven (Vanceboro, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, West Craven was overwhelmed by South Lenoir (Deep Run, NC), 7-0, in a non-league battle.
