The East Surry Cardinals baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the host North Surry Greyhounds to 8 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Friday.
The Cardinals (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league match with a 1-7 record. In their last match, Wilkes Central was edged by Surry Central (Dobson, NC), 11-5, in a non-league match.
The Greyhounds (0-4) will now prepare for their match against Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Falcons go into the non-league match with a 6-4 record. In their last match, Forbush edged West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC), 15-1, in a non-league match.
