The Laney Buccaneers baseball team (Wilmington, NC), was overwhelmed 6-1 in Friday's non-league outing with the host New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC)
The Wildcats now hold a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they host Topsail for a non-league outing on Tuesday, March 28. New Hanover will face a Pirates team coming off a 12-1 non-league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 5-2.
Next, the Buccaneers face the South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, March 28. Laney will attempt to advance on its 4-3 season record. The Cougars enter the outing with a 4-2 record after their 17-13 non-league win over Ashley (Wilmington, NC).
