Newberry Bulldogs (Newberry, SC) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Ninety Six Wildcats (Ninety Six, SC), 8-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs confront the Strom Thurmond Rebels (Johnston, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, March 27. Newberry will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Rebels enter the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 5-1 league loss to Silver Bluff (Aiken, SC).

The Wildcats now have a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they host Abbeville for a AA Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, April 4.
