The Needles Mustangs routed the visiting Awaken Christian Lions softball squad by a final score of 20-0 in Friday's league battle.

The Mustangs (10-3) will now prepare for their battle against Laughlin (Laughlin, NV). The Cougars go into the 2A- Southern battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Laughlin notched a victory over Sandy Valley (Sandy Valley, NV), 31-13, in a non-league battle.

The Lions now possess a 0-2 record. They play next when they host The Meadows School for a 2A- Southern battle on Friday, April 14.
