Esperanza Aztecs (Anaheim, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Canyon Comanches (Anaheim, CA), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Aztecs now sport a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they host Villa Park for a Crestview challenge on Saturday, March 25.

With the loss, Canyon falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Comanches host El Dorado (Placentia, CA) to face the Golden Hawks in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 27. The Golden Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 8-9. El Dorado won 9-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Segerstrom (Santa Ana, CA)
