Henderson Lions (Henderson, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Center Roughriders (Center, TX), 11-1 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they host Carthage for a 4A Region III District 17 challenge on Tuesday, March 28. Henderson will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 11-0 league loss to Gilmer (Gilmer, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-7.

With the loss, Center falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Roughriders travel to Spring Hill (Longview, TX) to face the Panthers in a 4A Region III District 17 challenge on Tuesday, March 28. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 18-7. Spring Hill won 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Kilgore (Kilgore, TX)
